Any waste produced by tradespeople or builders you hired to carry out improvements, repair or alterations to your home is classed as business waste and can’t be disposed of at any of our Recycling Centres. Always ask a tradesperson to include waste disposal in their quote.

In February, 86% of the waste from Lumns Lane Recycling Centre was recycled, composted or used for energy recovery.

Mon – Sun 8am – 8pm

(Open as usual on Bank Holidays)

Closed on Christmas Day (25th December) and New Year’s Day (1st January)

Sort your waste and recycling before you visit, so you can easily put it in the right container.

Vehicles Over 2m

If your vehicle is over 2 metres you will not be able to access Lumns Lane Recycling Centre due to the height barrier. You can still take your waste and recycling to:

Cobden Street in Salford  (Temporarily closed Monday 18th March to Sunday 25th August due to essential maintenance)

Raikes Lane in Bolton (Closed from Monday 26th August).
