Important information about building and DIY waste

Any waste produced by tradespeople or builders you hired to carry out improvements, repair or alterations to your home is classed as business waste and can’t be disposed of at any of our Recycling Centres. Always ask a tradesperson to include waste disposal in their quote.

Temporary closure for vehicles over 2 metres

Due to essential maintenance, the entrance for vehicles over 2 metres at Bredbury Parkway is closed to the public and traders. It will reopen later this year.

The Recycling Centre for household waste and recycling is open as normal.

In February, 96% of the waste from Bredbury Parkway Recycling Centre was recycled, composted or used for energy recovery.

Opening Times

Mon – Sun 8am – 8pm

(Open as usual on Bank Holidays)

Closed on Christmas Day (25th December) and New Year’s Day (1st January)

Sort your waste and recycling before you visit, so you can easily put it in the right container.
