What information do we collect about you?

We collect information about you when you register with us or place an order for products or services. We also collect information when you voluntarily complete customer surveys, provide feedback, apply for a job, submit contact forms and / or participate in competitions. Website usage information is collected using cookies.

How will we use the information about you?

We collect information about you to deal with your request, manage your account and, if you agree, to email you about other products and services we think may be of interest to you.

We use your information collected from the website to personalise your repeat visits to our website. If you agree, we will only contact you on behalf of Recycle for Greater Manchester.

Recycle for Greater Manchester will not share your information for marketing purposes with outside our group of companies.

In dealing with your request, we may send your details to, and also use information from credit reference agencies and fraud prevention agencies.

Information from education bookings to sites or outreach activities

How we will manage your data:

  1. In order for us to facilitate your booking and visit, we will collect your phone number and email address. This information will be stored on our Outlook calendar which is available to our team members. We will keep this information on the calendar up to the date of the visit booking and then for a maximum of 6 months following the visit date. This data will only be used for the purpose of facilitating your visit and will not be used for marketing.
  2. On the day of your visit, you will be required to complete and sign a health and safety and evaluation document. A photograph of your completed form will be retained  in a secure file following your visit date.
  3. On the day of your visit, you will be asked if you would like to join a mailing list to receive our email newsletter. (This will be within the health and safety and evaluation form).  If you supply your email address for this purpose, it will not be used for marketing and will be retained for 5 years. After five years you will be contacted again to choose to remain on this list should you wish to.

Security

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

Marketing

We would like to send you information about products and services which may be of interest to you. If you have consented to receive marketing, you may opt out at a later date.

You have a right at any time to stop us from contacting you for marketing purposes or giving your information to other members of Recycle for Greater Manchester at any time.
