What happens to my paper and card?

Your paper and card is taken to a paper sorting facility. Here it is sorted and graded. It is then bailed and transported to a number of reprocessors for recycling back into new products.

However, we are struggling to recycle paper and card because people are putting the wrong things in the recycling bin.

Wrong things in the recycling bin, lowers the quality and the value of the paper and card collected. It can even cause whole lorry loads of recycling to be rejected.

Watch the film below to see what happens when people put the wrong things in their recycling bin.

Did you know?

100% of your paper and card was sold in the UK.
