Tools on a blue background. Repair Week 3rd-9th March 2025

Join the Greater Manchester repair revolution

Last year we chucked an estimated £417 million worth of repairable items in Greater Manchester.

Fixing instead of throwing away means we can love things for longer, save cash and stop things ending up as rubbish.

Repair Week connects people with local repairers and inspires them to fix instead of throwing away. A week-long celebration of repair with online and in-person events.

Repairers, it’s time to get Greater Manchester fixing

Tools on a blue background. Repairers! It's time, tool up and host an event for Repair Week 2025

Do you love spending weekends fixing things in the shed?
Are you part of a community group that fixes instead of throwing away?
Does your business offer repairs?

If the answer’s yes, you’re a repair hero and we need your help to empower Greater Manchester to try fixing, mending and saving things from the bin.

Whether you fix bikes, clothing, electricals or even something specialist, connect with your local community and be part of a nationwide repair celebration.

Host a community event and inspire people to try fixing and keep things in use for as long as possible.

What is Repair Week?

An annual celebration of all things repair with events and workshops to give you the skills to fix your stuff and find local fixers.

Events will be held by local repair heroes from community groups and businesses between 3rd – 9th of March 2025.

Watch this space for the events listings coming in February.
