Virtual festive session (children)

It’s the most wonderful time of the year but over the festive period we create more rubbish that at any other time. One of our education officers will lead the interactive session with crafts, games and films to help you reuse and recycle your festive waste in Greater Manchester.

Primarily aimed at Key Stage 2 aged children but all ages are welcome!

Adults please sign up for you and your children (adults are required to attend the session for safeguarding purposes).

A virtual tour of the Materials Recovery Facility

  • See how your plastic bottles are sorted using lasers
  • Find out how glass bottles and jars are given a clean using cyclones
  • Watch how we turn your aluminium drinks cans and foil into biscuits (not suitable for eating)

We will also share hints and tips about:
