“Recycling at home Quiz “
The quiz competitive element is only open to children or their parents/ carers of school groups or community groups who have taken part in a visit to a Recycle for Greater Manchester (R4GM) education centre, or who have received a visit from a Recycle For Greater Manchester education Officer as an outreach session. Other people can do the quiz as they wish but if they do not have a code, they cannot enter the competitive function of the quiz.
Participants to the R4GM education centre visits / or outreach session will be invited to enter. They will access the quiz online via a code that they will have been be given. The code will relate to their specific group /class.
A prize of recycling goody bags per member of your group will be awarded to the winning group. These will contain a minimum of; recycled shopping bag, recycled water bottle, recycled pencil or alternative items. No cash or separate alternative prizes will be available.
Participants who have visited or taken part in an R4GM education activity will have been given a code. They use that code to submit their quiz results. At the end of the Quiz month* see below a calculation will be made to determine the number of quiz completions as a percentage of the number of original participants to the R4GM visit / activity when they were issued the code. The group with the highest percentage of completions against their code to this quiz will win the prize. In the event of a tie, both groups will win.
*Explanation of “Quiz month” A winner will be selected as above once per calendar month Quiz period. The Quiz period will technically be one calendar month plus 14 days. This allows time for a group who visit/ have an outreach activity (and therefore who are given a code) within a few days of the end of a month, a chance to gain as many entries as possible compared to a group who visit earlier on in that month.
The winning group will be notified using the email address provided by the teacher / group leader on the booking confirmation of their activity with the R4GM education service. This email address will be used for that sole purpose and will be deleted as soon as the prize has been posted/ delivered.
The prize must be accepted within 14 days of the winners’ announcement email and will be delivered to an agreed address.
If the prize is not claimed as above the group with the second highest number of quiz entries will be deemed the winner.
The chosen winning entry is final, there is no appeal system and no correspondence will be entered into.
By entering the Quiz competition, participants give agreement for the
details of winners to be shared via the R4GM website and associated media channels.
This could include, but is not exclusive to, the The Recycle For Greater Manchester Facebook, Twitter and Instagram channels, (own managed social media page) and offline materials.
GMCA as Recycle for Greater Manchester (“R4GM”) of 1st Floor, Broadhurst House, 56 Oxford Street, Manchester M1 6EU
(a) responsibility for competition entries that are incorrect, damaged or delayed regardless of cause, including, for example, equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind; or
(b) responsibility for the entrant failing to comply with any of these terms and conditions, any terms of acceptable website use, guidance and/or other conditions which may apply to any of R4GM’s or GMCA websites or any other websites relating to the competition
(a) automatically generated by computer;
(b) completed by third parties or in bulk (numerous entries from one individual are not allowed)
(c) contain inappropriate, harmful or otherwise unsuitable usernames;
(d) incomplete.
(e) entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed.
(f) contrary to the spirit or intention of the competition
R4GM reserves the right to change or cancel this quiz competition at any stage and without prior notice, if it deems necessary, or if circumstances arise outside of its control.
