Recycling only the right things in your bins is really important so that it can be turned into new products, like a new newspaper or cardboard box.

If everyone recycled just one more magazine this Christmas, we could power your local school for more than 3 years and 4 months.

Nappies, polystyrene and all plastics (except plastic bottles) can go in your general waste bin, which is used to create green electricity.  Electronic items and clothing can be taken to your local Recycling Centre.  Recycle all your food waste in your food and garden bin. It is made into  compost.
